Leakage remains the biggest challenge for people living with a stoma
Almost everyone with a stoma cites leakage as one of their biggest daily worries1. And this can increase the burden on Health Care Professionals
Emotional impact of leakage
The negative emotions associated with experiencing leakage, particularly in public places, causes many patients to limit their social activities and even self-isolate.1 They are also more likely to contact their HCP more often4 and use more baseplates and supporting products.1,4
Step-by-step application guide
Place it on a flat surface with the release liner facing up. Peel off the release liner on your baseplate.
Press the sensor layer down firmly. Circle around the sensor layer firmly to ensure secure adhesion to your baseplate.
Carefully remove the sensor layer release liner, and apply your appliance as you would normally, to clean, dry skin. Please be aware that the sensor layer must be applied to intact peristomal skin.
Insert the connector flap into the transmitter opening and slide it on firmly. Press down on the transmitter lid to fully close it with a soft click.
You're ready to connect to the Heylo app . Heylo will now keep you informed of any signs of leakage.
Heylo Support Service
Heylo is much more than a leakage notification system. Patients can also benefit from ongoing support from our dedicated Heylo support team, helping them to manage leakage and their stoma care routine.
How does Heylo Support help patients?
Your patient simply attaches Heylo under their current stoma baseplate. If leakage is detected, Heylo sends a notification to their smartphone. If recurring leakages are identified, the patient is notified and asked if they would like a call. If the user chooses to accept the option to receive a call, one of our specialist Heylo Clinical Assistants will contact them with tips, support and advice.
